• Check your roof and ensure it is sturdy and prepared to stand up to storms.
• Ensure home updates are made in accordance with weather in your area. For example, if you live in an especially windy area, ensure your roof is rated to sustain those winds.
• Know your local severe weather warning system and when to take cover.
• Trim back trees and shrubs at risk of hitting your home in the case of a wind storm.
