Online payment and other billing enhancements

For policies that renewed on or after June 1, 2016, all Phenix Mutual policyholders and those Commercial Lines policyholders in Massachusetts, Maine and Vermont are now able to make payments online, establish recurring EFT payment transactions, and combine bills for multiple policies with the same bill payer into a single bill. To allow for these enhancements, the following are some other modifications to our billing program:

• Because the choice of billing plan is selected by the amount paid, Phenix Mutual now seeks to collect the premium payment prior to the renewal date. This allows time for the payment to be properly accepted and ensure the renewing term is set with the desired payment frequency.
• When making online payments, the account number displayed on the invoice and the renewal declarations must be used.
• Billing fees, regardless of billing frequency, will be waived by successfully setting up recurring payments.
