BrickStreet named Volunteer of the Year
Today, March 28, Goodwill of Kanawha Valley will recognize BrickStreet as their Volunteer of the Year. This award is given to an individual or organization that has been an outstanding volunteer of time, goods or services to Goodwill.
This award recognizes BrickStreet's service and support in 2018, including BrickStreet's hosting of the Goodwill executive annual retreat and several different training opportunities. On Nov. 16, the West Virginia Standard Team held their community service day at Goodwill. They assembled 58 Christmas trees, sorted countless items of clothing, organized computer components for recycling and reorganized holiday decorations.
"You guys made a HUGE difference that day and had a super ripple effect with how the employees and participants felt about the work that they do," said BrickStreet's Goodwill representative regarding the West Virginia Standard Team's service.
The mission of Goodwill Industries of Kanawha Valley, Inc. is to assist people with disabilities or those who are otherwise vocationally disadvantaged to achieve full participation and integration into society.
