Charlie Stapleton's retirement honored with Ronald McDonald House gift

Motorists Executive Vice President Charlie Stapleton's last day as a Motorists associate was Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018, and he will retire at the end of this year. To thank Charlie for his 35 years of service, Motorists adopted a single-family home through Ronald McDonald House Charities in his honor.

The Ronald McDonald House in Columbus, Ohio, provides a stress- and cost-free home-away-from-home for families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at Nationwide Children's Hospital and other area hospitals. By adopting a single-family home, we are giving a family a stable home base and a child the security of having their family near them. Families who stay at the house face one of the most stressful times of their lives, and we are honored to help them through it by giving them a convenient place to stay near their child. The house also gives the family access to stress-relieving amenities like the Ronald McDonald House's meditation room, exercise room and dedicated care suites for chemotherapy or post-transplant care.

Motorists has been an active partner of Ronald McDonald House Charities for many years. Through item drives, associate volunteers, sponsorships and gifts, we are proud to stand alongside an organization that is there when bad things happen to good people. During his career, Charlie has been actively involved in numerous industry and nonprofit organizations. By giving a gift to an organization that has meant so much to our company, we honor and thank Charlie for his time at Motorists.
