Motorists completes $1 million pledge to Ronald McDonald House Charities
Motorists Insurance Group is committed to helping people and communities at their moment of greatest need. In 2013, Motorists pledged a total of $1 million over the course of five years to support a new wing at the Columbus Ronald McDonald House. Through the Motorists Insurance Foundation, the pledge was completed in December 2017.
Through this commitment, Motorists helped to finance a new wing at the House, which includes three floors and 40 guest rooms for families staying at the House. “We are proud to help support Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio and their efforts to help families during what can be trying times,” Motorists Insurance Group CEO Dave Kaufman said. This addition to Ronald McDonald House has made the Columbus location the largest in the world.
In addition to corporate financial support, Motorists associates show their care for the families staying at Ronald McDonald House through volunteer work. In 2017 alone, more than 12 teams of associates served meals to families staying at Ronald McDonald House in Columbus. More than 25 associates also volunteered by cleaning and restocking rooms at the House. This includes our group of summer interns, who spent their intern volunteer day at the Columbus Ronald McDonald House.
From the CEO to interns, all associates at Motorists Insurance Group understand the value of giving back to the communities in which they live and work. As Motorists finishes the capital campaign commitment to Ronald McDonald House, we will continue to remain active and invested in our communities.
