Encova celebrates women
March is Women’s History Month, and this year, Encova celebrated women through partnership with Dress for Success, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women to achieve economic independence. We offered volunteer opportunities, hosted an item drive and provided ways for associates to financially contribute to the organization.
On March 8, Dress for Success opened a new boutique in Charleston, West Virginia. We had 20 associates volunteer to help put the final touches on the boutique before the grand opening. This included everything from organizing and steaming clothing to arranging books and placing signage on the wall.
In continued support of the new location, we also hosted an item drive during March to help stock their closet. Associates donated items like shoes, reusable shopping tote bags, professional development books, make-up bags and women’s business and business casual clothing. Encova also donated various office items like padfolios.
On March 24, we sent 11 associates to volunteer at the Dress for Success Columbus location. Volunteers helped prepare for Dress for Success Columbus’ spring FAB Sale, their grassroots fundraiser.
Finally, we shared information about financially supporting Dress for Success through their online giving page. We encourage you to check out different ways you can support this and other organizations in your community that support women!
