Showing our pride and making a difference in our communities

Encova is dedicated to serving communities where we live and work. We strive to be active citizens, supporting causes important to our associates, agents and policyholders. In the second quarter, Encova hosted our annual Operation Feed campaign and participated in the Stonewall Columbus Pride Parade.

Operation Feed began with Mid-Ohio Food Collective, and Encova expanded it to impact foodbanks local to each of our offices. We sent groups of volunteers, donated to foodbanks and learned about our changing cities and how access to transportation can impact access to food. Every dollar donated makes a difference, and we are thankful for our associates’ generosity in giving back!

On June 18, our Mosaic associate resource group (dedicated to the LGBTQIA+ community) led Encova at the Stonewall Columbus Pride Parade. As a sponsor, we had a float and marched in the parade to show our support for the LGBTQIA+ community. In addition to participating in the parade, associates purchased special T-shirts for the event, which served as a fundraiser for Kaleidoscope Youth Center. The mission of Kaleidoscope Youth Center is to serve and support LGBTQIA+ young people. Through our fundraising efforts, we were able to donate over $1,000 to the organization.
