Commercial lines convenience fee effective jan. 1, 2021

In July 2020, we chose One Inc as our commercial lines digital payment vendor. This move consolidated all payments to one platform and enhanced our ability to provide a better solution for you and your policyholders.

One Inc charges a 2.99% convenience fee for credit card payments, but this fee was waived through Jan. 1, 2021, to support our policyholders during COVID-19. Beginning Jan. 1, your policyholders who pay via credit card (either one-time or AutoPay) will be charged a 2.99% convenience fee.

Starting with invoices sent to commercial lines policyholders in early December, we will include a flyer notification to policyholders informing them of the fee. You can preview the flyer here. If policyholders wish to avoid the fee, they can change their payment method to payment via bank account using the instructions included on the flyer notification linked above.

If at any point you will handle credit card information for your policyholders on behalf of Encova Insurance, please refer to these guidelines to maintain the PCI-DSS standard. If anyone else in your agency will handle this information, please send them the guidelines to ensure they are maintained.
