Supporting local schools amidst pandemic

Although the school year will look a lot different for students and teachers this year, all students still need school supplies. Encova is proud to sponsor the 2020 Columbus, Ohio, NBC4 Stuff the Backpack campaign and the 2020 Charleston, West Virginia, Eyewitness News Tools for Schools campaign, and we invited our associates to help.

Columbus’s Stuff the Backpack campaign provides essential school supplies to 24 school districts in Franklin and Licking counties. Every $10 donation provides one student with a packet of essential supplies, and associates were invited to make a donation through NBC4’s Stuff the Backpack fiscal sponsor, United Way of Central Ohio.

Charleston’s Tools for Schools campaign supplies local students with backpacks and school supplies for the school year. We offered associates the opportunity to drop donated supplies through no-contact drop-off at our Charleston office and at the United Way of Central West Virginia office, as well as the chance to make a monetary donation through the United Way of Central West Virginia website.

We’re proud of our associates and the ways they’ve continued to support our communities throughout the pandemic.
