Last month, Encova Insurance hired Kyle Harris as commercial lines regional vice president. Harris will lead small business in the carrier’s Small Atlantic region. The region was previously led by Shannon Carr, who will take over the Small Pennsylvania, West Virginia region following Hope Fallen’s retirement after nearly 20 years with the company. These changes will go into effect Dec. 1.
Harris has an extensive background in small business underwriting and leadership. He previously worked for Travelers Insurance for over 20 years and held several positions, including vice president underwriting – select accounts and vice president – business center head.
“Kyle will be responsible for overseeing underwriting, sales, operations and workers’ compensation claims in the Small Atlantic region,” Encova Senior Vice President, Small Business, Commercial Lines Michelle Shaver said. “He will help us achieve business results by leading the team efficiently to provide quality underwriting decisions and exceptional agency service. We’re excited to have him on our team, and we congratulate Hope on her retirement.”
