Effective Feb. 9, Encova Insurance appointed Dawn Colavecchi (Klco) as commercial lines regional vice president, and Todd Becker as vice president, commercial underwriting office, Workers’ Compensation.
Colavecchi will lead large accounts in the carrier’s Large Midwest region, which now includes Michigan, along with Illinois, Missouri and Kansas. The region was previously led by Becker, who is now responsible for overseeing Encova’s workers’ compensation underwriting functions to meet established objectives through the coordination of all regional vice presidents, workers’ compensation underwriters and Encova’s appointed agents.
In addition to recently leading the Large Midwest region for Encova, Becker has also previously served as vice president and business director for the Standard South workers’ compensation small business team.
Colavecchi most recently served Encova as a senior production underwriter in Michigan and has been instrumental in driving great success in this territory. She previously served in management roles, including assistant vice president of field marketing and underwriting at Amerisure and vice president of field operations for Selective Insurance.
“Dawn is responsible for overseeing middle market and large account commercial lines business as well as profit and loss, underwriting, loss control, claims and agency management,” Encova Senior Vice President, Commercial Lines, Large Accounts, Jeff Fee said. “Her knowledge, work effort and attitude will enable her to build upon the trusted business relationships we have with our agents and policyholders in this territory.”
