Encova Insurance recognized in rise's 2024 Elite 50 Internship publication

For the fifth year in a row, Encova Insurance’s internship program has been nationally recognized as a RISE Elite 50 Internship.

In 2024, Encova hosted 32 interns from 14 different colleges and universities across four states, working in diverse departments from Human Resources to Underwriting. As full members of dynamic, results-driven teams, interns are introduced to the insurance industry through authentic work experiences. Interns have opportunities for role-based work assignments through project and task contributions.

In addition to their day-to-day responsibilities, Encova’s interns participated in a group project to research the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the insurance industry, from risks to opportunities of adopting the technology. Each group developed a research-based presentation which they presented to our senior leadership team at the end of the summer. 

“We are proud to again be named to RISE’s Elite 50 Internship list,” Mark Peacock, senior vice president and chief Human Resources officer, said. “Our goal is to create a meaningful experience for our interns and to show the many different career paths available in insurance, all while giving them hands-on experience in their fields of study.”

“You have what I do as an internal auditor, HR, branding, lawyers, nurses; there are so many different people and career paths you can go down,” Reese Turnell, intern for Encova’s Internal Audit department, said. “I love the internship program here; I recommend it to everyone. I think it’s really great.”

“Each intern left an impact on the company through the work they did,” Peacock said. “We wish our 2024 class of interns nothing but success as they return to school and start their careers.”
